Rachel Sinsheimer is an associate at Headwaters Law Group, bringing her passion for social and environmental justice to the team. She graduated from the University of Washington School of Law in 2021, where she made a significant impact as Editor-in-Chief of the Washington Journal of Social and Environmental Justice (formerly the Washington Journal of Environmental Law and Policy). During law school, Rachel also gained hands-on experience at the Tulalip Tribe Tribal Defense Clinic, sharpening her legal skills in defense advocacy.
Rachel’s commitment to environmental issues is evident from her internships at the Natural Resources Defense Council, and the Environmental Protection Agency. She was also part of the first class of Environmental Justice fellows at the Washington State Attorney General’s Office. Before law school, she worked as a paralegal at several New England-based environmental firms, further deepening her understanding of environmental law.

Rachel’s passion for her work is rooted in her love for the great outdoors. When she’s not researching the latest developments in environmental law, you’ll likely find her exploring the stunning landscapes of the PNW. Whether she’s searching for snow stashes, reading a book by a river, or improving her mountain biking skills, Rachel finds her inspiration and relaxation in nature.
